Can anyone let me know if this restaurant is still as good as it was.
I have heard things may be slipping there

We visit Anfi 6-8 times a year and eat at Valentino's on every visit. Never changes. As good as ever and I recommend to anyone who asks

My first visit a week ago today.     Here's my review that was posted on another popular Anfi UK members websiteTongue

One thing I didn't mention on the other review is that they charged us EUR0.50 for a small amount of Mayonaise to go with my daughters' fries.     Considering we dropped over EUR150+ there, I feel that was a bit cheeky....

Quote Our first ever visit last night. Table booked for 8pm and when we arrived, it was already busy.
Drinks orders taken quickly and food order followed fairly soon. We then waited 45mins for the 'complementary canapé' to arrive, only to have one plate taken away as we had too many...... Hmmm.., not overly impressed. Starters arrived about 15 mins later and everyone enjoyed them. A further 30 mins later and our main courses arrived. Again, everyone enjoyed the main courses.

Overall, the food was excellent and great value when compared to Anfi. Service varied depending on who came to the table and it almost felt deliberately slow as if they wanted us to order more drinks/bread etc to fill in the time between courses. If it had just been the wife and I, then no problem, but as a family with young children, particularly with a two year old, this perhaps just took a bit too long.

Despite the variable service, I would certainly go back as it makes the on site Anfi offerings look very poor by comparison.

Added on edit: With the Radisson having placed lighting along it's boundary wall, most of the walk back was reasonably well lit.

We went there. Like Partymonkey, found food OK but service very slow. Didn't notice charges for extras. We'll check our bill closely next time.

Guess it all depends on when you go and maybe Richard gets good service because he goes a lot.

P.S. lucky you Richard - 6 to 8 holidays a year. I must get soem lottery tickets. Wink

I'm sure you won't regret giving it a try. I go a couple of times each time I'm at Anfi and can't fault the food, service or welcome.

Regards

Robert

We love Valentinos. We began to go at lunch time rather than evening when staying in Donana a few years ago. Its much loved by Northern Europeans, and they tend to sit long over a coffee or beer, so there can be a little wait at times to get the table you want. Now, we sit long ourselves once we get a sunny table, but we do have a great boozy lunch, with with all the courses.  Love the passing parade.  No rush whatsover, they don't start to lay up for evening until around 9.30.ClapClap
